Principal Welcome

As Principal of Whiston Willis, it is my privilege to welcome you to our school website.

The aim of our website is to provide any visitors with an insight into the life of our school and the work that is undertaken to ensure that all of our children receive the best possible academic education, pastoral support and social development through our commitment to excellence.

Academic excellence and social intelligence are at the heart of all that we do at Whiston Willis to develop aspirational life-long learners who are committed to their own self development to achieve excellence and be highly valued and respected future citizens of Whiston, Knowsley and beyond.

We are committed to offering a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and challenges the issues that our children may face in an ever-changing modern Britain; so that they will be able to positively influence the world around them now and in the future. By striving to enable all our learners to achieve academic excellence, we provide them with the cultural capital to develop further as they continue on their learning journey throughout life.

Developing healthy and happy children is of paramount importance at Whiston Willis. We pride ourselves on working with the children to build the skills and understanding that will enable them to be respectful, confident ,reflective, resilient, empathetic and ambitious young people who are eager to have a positive impact on their own lives and those of other people around them and beyond.

The UNICEF rights of the child are a key feature of school life and we are currently accredited as a UNICEF Rights Respecting GOLD School. This alongside our commitment to developing our International School work, enables us to ensure our children consider wider issues; developing a passion and commitment to articulating their feelings and the strength of character and informed knowledge to challenge unfairness.

If you would like to consider Whiston Willis as your school of choice and would like to find out more, please contact our school office and we will be happy to arrange a visit.

Best Wishes

Ian Cooper
