Our Y6 pupils had a fantastic session working with Peter Yip who teaches the children in many schools around the north west about equality and diversity, The children listened very well and showed their understanding of discrimination and recognised that everyone should be treated equally regardless of any difference.
It was really great to have two visitors to school in the last few days to talk to some of our children about keeping safe. Children in Lion Class and Zebra Class had a visit from the local Dog's Trust to talk about safety around dogs and especially stray dogs.
Merseyside Police also cam eto speak to the children in KS2 about Mischief Night and Firework safety as we are quickly apporaching that time of year. Hopefully our children and families remain safe- ask your children about how they should keep safe?
FANTASTIC NEWS TO SHARE.....During the summer term, our school was nominated by Wade Deacon Trust to be considered as 'SCHOOL OF THE YEAR' in the National School Awards. Shortlisting was completed by a panel of judges and we have been shortlisted into the last five schools. The final decision will be made in December. We are so proud of our school community and being shortlisted by an independent panel recognises the work we do as a school to give our children the best possible start in their lives.
