Vision and Values

LEARNING FOR LIFE

Our school is a safe, happy and inclusive place where everybody is valued, treated equally, respected and where difference is celebrated.

We believe that all members of our School community should reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

We are committed to ensuring that every child is prepared for their future lives as responsible citizens with a strong moral purpose.

Learning is a lifelong journey and we strive for all children to  enjoy learning;  leading to independent, motivated 'Lifelong Learners' who are prepared to face the modern day wider world with enthusiasm.

To achieve this, we will prioritise key values and priorities across the school.

Key values:

Be Respectful

Be Responsible

Be Safe

Key Priorities:

Achievement: We will have challenging expectations of all our pupils which we will reinforce consistently as they progress through their learning journey. We believe that all our children have no limit to their learning and will achieve the highest possible standards with high quality teaching, challenge and support in an environment that is conducive to learning.

Behaviour, Safety and Welfare: Our school is a respectful, caring and empathetic environment. Behaviour in lessons is exemplary so that all staff can teach and our children can learn. Strong friendships, teamwork, respect and care are clearly evident at all times.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment: Our staff strive to provide the children with the best possible learning experiences that stimulate and motivate all. Staff are committed to developing a ‘learning culture’ based on research, collaboration and teamwork to improve their own skills in order to improve outcomes for all our children.

Leadership and Management: All stakeholders have high expectations of every child and will relentlessly work together to ensure every child develops well in all areas of school life. Positive relationships and communication between pupils, parents, staff and community will reinforce and further develop a culture of excellence and a commitment to all learners.
